I had 3 fleets with 400k Fleetpower, each with one titan having the FTL debuff aura. USE JUMP! I read a post where a guy recommended using a gateway, this has not worked in around 10 tries, the jump worked immediately. I colonized a single system inside the 40 systems reserved for the fallen empires awakening and build only fortresses, a military station and a shield generator. Can easily be done with vigilance ascendency, 6 hangars and defensive platforms with strikecraft. If a Station is much stronger than the FEs fleet they will never attack them. I left them around 40 stars to expend to and blocked the other Hyperlanes with Citadels with around 300k fleetpower. Xenophile FE, settings as the try before. I’m also happy to answer any questions that you have, so please leave me a message below if you’re still having issues. So I’m hoping this will help you as well. I’ve pieced most of this Information/strategy from various Reddit posts and Paradox forums. If this does happen, pull your fleets out back to within two systems of your bait planet and just wait for him to try again. One or two things will happen, you’ll destroy it and get your achievement. When the Colossus reaches 80% charging, jump all fleets into the system. Now hopefully you’ve stationed your Fleets within two Systems of the colony that’s been targeted. If it is there’s a high chance that it’s preparing to fire on it. When you see that it’s on the move, pause and check the status of it to see if it’s moving to ‘xyz system’ where your ‘Bait Colony’ is. If it doesn’t it might be worth building multiple along their border (if possible) and waiting to see what one it takes to. When they eventually build it, it will hopefully take an interest to your ‘bait colony’ that we colonised earlier. Wait the 10 years and declare war on them again to restart the process.

Sometimes the War will ‘Status Quo’ before they build it and you’ll think you’ve lost your chance, but you just need to be patient. The tricky part however is waiting for them to actually build their own Colossus. Make sure to activate the Edicts that grant you a bonus of 25% damage to Energy Weapons and the others for 25% Armour and Shields respectively. Once the Holy Guardians have awakened, let their initial fleets come to you, in your territory, and pick them off. Roughly 80% Armour and 20% Shields and the two Aux slots with Shield Capacitors. I fitted my Battleships, and Titans, with Focused Arc Emitters and Phase Disruptors. Ideally you’ll need a fleet strength of 300k+, to be safe, although if you’re playing on the lowest difficulty you might not need as much as that. There’s usually one or two outside their borders (Pristine Jewel, Prophet’s Retreat, Emerald Mausoleum etc.) When we ‘crack’ their World open, they will awaken, and their fleet will triple in size from their two stacks of 80-90k. Also don’t forget to build armies on the surface, around 10k should be sufficient.ĭon’t start building your fleets until you’ve built a Colossus and are fully ready to ‘crack’ their Holy World. Find a planet to colonise on the very edge of their borders and build it up with Stronghold’s and a Planetary Shield. When this is done, start expanding to their borders and ‘box them in’ (if possible). I’d start by playing tall until you’ve got all of the techs needed and as many repeatable’s as you so desire. The Holy Guardians are the ones that you’d ideally want, as you can ‘upstart awaken’ them by planet cracking one of their Holy Worlds, with a Colossus.

Thus it will be incompatible with any mod overwriting the same file.Further to the above solution by ‘Sensei Neo’ I strongly recommend a small ring world with one FE. Valid targets are determined during gameplay so there should be no issues.Ĭommonscripted_triggers 1_scripted_triggers_planet_killers.txt

Save Game CompatibilityShould be save to install and remove during running games (I had no problems so far). – No changes as it can already target your own planets – Planet has to be populated (as it gives science it would make no sense if you can use it on uninhabitated planets – might change this in the future)

– Can target all planet types except cracked worlds and gas giants (no planet to crack there) This removes many of the restrictions on what planet killer weapons can target. You can’t shield that planet you took over which is boiling with unrest? But wait… you can’t crack that planet or your colony you want to get rid off? DescriptionSo you finally got your Colossus and want to take it for a ride.
